The Eastman DET-5 Thermal Expansion Tank is a 2.1-gallon pre-pressurized steel tank designed to protect residential water heating systems from the damaging effects of thermal expansion. Engineered for use with gas, oil, or electric direct-fired water heaters, it features a high-quality butyl rubber diaphragm that prevents air-to-water contact, ensuring long-term system reliability. This field-adjustable tank maintains balanced pressure by keeping system levels below the T&P relief valve setting, effectively extending the life of pipes and fixtures.
