Hudson Tech R-422B Refrigerant 25 lb. Canister R-22 Replacement

Hudson Tech R-422B is a non-ozone depleting HFC-based refrigerant blend designed as a direct replacement for R-22 in residential and commercial air conditioning systems. This 25 lb. canister is suitable for use in new or existing equipment, including non-flooded evaporator chillers and medium-temperature refrigeration units. As a retrofit solution, it typically does not require a change of expansion valves (TXV) or compressor hardware, significantly reducing labor costs during system transitions. It is compatible with traditional mineral oil (MO), alkylbenzene (AB), and polyolester (POE) lubricants, though oil identification is required prior to charging. The refrigerant is classified under ASHRAE safety group A1, indicating low toxicity and non-flammability for safe handling in professional environments.
