The Allied Moulded SB-1 SLIDERBOX is a professional-grade, single-gang adjustable electrical box designed for both new work and retrofit applications. Engineered from high-strength, non-metallic thermoplastic, it features a patented slider mechanism that allows for precise depth adjustment after the wall substrate is installed. This box accommodates wall thicknesses ranging from 1/2 inch to 1-3/8 inches and ceiling thicknesses from 1/2 inch to 1-5/32 inches, ensuring a flush finish with various materials. It includes internal steel mounting screws for secure attachment to wood or metal studs and molded spline device holes for rapid device installation. With a 23.0 cubic inch capacity and a 1/2-inch knockout, it provides ample space for wiring and standard electrical components. The unit is UL listed for use in 2-hour fire-resistive walls and ceilings, meeting strict building code requirements.
