Southwire Duraclad Type AC Armored Cable is a high-performance solution for branch, feeder, and service power distribution in commercial, industrial, and multi-residential buildings. This 12/2 cable features solid soft-drawn copper conductors with THHN/THWN insulation, individually wrapped in moisture-resistant and flame-retardant paper. The assembly is protected by a flexible, interlocking galvanized steel armor that provides superior mechanical protection without the need for conduit. It includes a 16 AWG aluminum bond wire that, in combination with the armor, serves as an effective equipment grounding conductor. Designed for dry locations, it is suitable for concealed or exposed installations, including use in environmental air-handling spaces and under raised floors.
